On Saturday I had the privilege of entertaining for the friends and family of Anne & Mike Maletta at Arden Hill Country Club. It was an amazing evening that started with the ceremony at the beautiful new Villas of Arden Hills. As the guests arrived in the Heritage room for the reception, I kept them entertained with a little bride & groom trivia. I’ve been known to design creative ways of welcoming in the guests of honor, and tonight I came up with a new one that I would like to share with you. Kyle, one of the members of the wedding party even came up with a name for the introduction “The Awesome Blossom”. I am sure you will see why if you watch the video. The night was truly amazing with the guests dancing tell midnight. I even made arrangements for some of the guests from the east coast who were unable to attend the wedding, to call in and give Anne & Mike their well wishes on their wedding day. Their eyes lit up with joy when they realized their friends and family were reaching out to them, from so many miles away.
This has been an amazing year for Creative Memories Entertainment! I kicked off the year by receiving the Professional of The Year Award from the Association of Wedding Professionals International. This is the top honor in the wedding industry and is voted upon by your peers from facilities to wedding coordinators, and DJs to cake designers. I found out the news on stage at the awards banquet on February 6th 2007. The only thing that topped this in my life was when I proposed to my fiance one year prior at the same awards show with a very creative love story that was designed by a close friend, Randy Bartlett of Premier Entertainment here in Sacramento. I was choked up the night of the proposal as I was also when they read my name out at the awards dinner. I want to thank all the Sacramento wedding professionals for honoring me with this award.
For years the bridal magazines, wedding planning books, and wedding focused television programs have explored every facet of wedding celebrations except for one…the FUN. Brides are being told to shop for “music” and then when their wedding reception arrives, they suddenly realize that what they really needed was talented and appropriate entertainment. For years I have designed my clients wedding entertainment around the style, and personalities that make them unique. Now everyone can have a secret weapon to create a fun and entertaining wedding reception. I would like to introduce “The Best Wedding Reception…Ever!” by Peter Merry.
This book is designed for anyone that is looking to create a fun and unique wedding reception. I loved the content in this book so much that I give everyone of my clients that book my services, a complimentary copy of the book. (Only if they promise to read it) If you choose to not use Creative Memories Entertainment, you can still purchase a copy of the book from me for $25, or you can order it from TheBestWeddingReceptionEver.com or amazon.com
