The Wedding of The Year…

September 18, 2007 in Creative Weddings | Comments (0)

I know I say that about all my clients but over the years I have had the best clients in Sacramento to work with on planning the entertainment for their wedding. It was a pleasure working with Kelli Guzzetta and David Woody to make their wedding day unique, memorable, and fun. They may not know it, but I received the best compliment from the two of them during the planning, Kelli & David expressed to me that one thing they did not want to skimp on was the entertainment for their wedding. I want to thank them again for selecting my services and allowing me to work with them in designing the entertainment. library Galleria - lighting 1    This past Saturday they celebrated their union with a reception at the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria that was amazing down to the finest detail. This was truly a personal experience because Kelli and her father Nick of Guzzetta & Co, personally helped me pick out a perfect diamond when I proposed to my fiance April.
I have some great photos of the reception that I would like to share with you below. The photos showcase some of the great lighting I designed for their wedding reception. This included a custom heart monogram, up lighting each pillar, as well as accent lighting for the walls and the ceiling that was five stories up. At the last minute, Kelli and David decided to go an extra hour because their guests were having such a great time.  library Galleria - lighting 3

That night I worked with the “A” team in the wedding industry! First the guests enjoyed a delectable meal from Monty of All Seasons, All Reasons fine catering, fine catering indeed. Every little detail of the wedding was overseen by you guessed it, Jackie and Allison of Every Little Detail. They are always a pleasure to work with. Gino Creglia of Gino Creglia Photography was on hand to capture the amazing moments of the day and his work is truly unique and amazing. To compliment the photographs Ryan of Heritage video and his team seem to be no where in site, but a closer look would reveal that there were three cameras on the action at all times capturing every moment. The guests also enjoyed a delectable desert, a wedding cake that was decorated to perfection by Shelton’s wedding cake design. The room looked incredible with the floral design of Katie Edwards owner of Ambience Floral Design. The guests also had the chance to chill out at the custom ice bar branding the Initials, K&D.library Galleria - lighting 2library Galleria - ice bar

Connie & Kevin’s Wedding

This weekend I was at the beautiful Granite Bay Golf Club
for the wedding of Connie and Kevin Nakano. I really enjoyed working with the two of them leading up to the event designing their wedding day. Together we planned many great traditions throughout the event. The design process started with ambient up lighting throughout the room. For the walls, I choose an elegant rose pattern gobo to accentuate the roses in the centerpieces. This was a perfect backdrop for the photographs that were captured by Gail of XSight Photography. They did an amazing job capturing all the beautiful moments of the wedding day and truly are a pleasure to work with. (The photos below were taken by me)Connie & Kevin 1

Shortly after dinner Connie changed into a traditional Asian red dress and made her second grand entrance to the reception for the Tea Ceremony. The principles of love, harmony, respect, and purity were demonstrated by this simple ceremony and are believed to be the keys to a lasting marriage. You can learn more about the ceremony on the traditions page of my website. The evening was truly amazing! The guests had a blast dancing with the two of them, and the atmospheric lighting was the perfect addition adding energy to the dance floor. Connie & Kevin 2

During the reception the guests viewed the beautiful montage I created for them. The video highlighted their life story as well as a special section of just the two of them. I was humbled when Kevin told me it was the best montage he had ever seen and had been receiving many compliments from the guests about it. You can see a sample of the last section of the montage below. The video was compressed to accommodate the upload to You Tube and the quality was dramatically decreased. If you would like to view the full quality version, please call me and schedule a private appointment.
