A Night In Heaven…

October 29, 2007 in Creative Weddings | Comments (0)

Saturday night was exquisitely amazing; Leah, Ryan and their guest’s experienced an event that they will be talked about for many years to come. It started with a beautiful ceremony in the Terrace Garden at Arden Hill Country Club. The ceremony was heartfelt and full of tears and soon after kiss the guests were treated to a breath taking reception that was decorated to the finest detail including a couple hand crafted figurines adorning the wedding cake. I will tell you more about that later!

As we introduced Leah and Ryan, the crowd erupted in applause as the room began to snow atop the happy couple as they greeted their guests. Ryan made arrangements with me to surprise his beautiful bride with the snow during one of our appointments. As you can tell from the photographs that I took, we accented the decor of the Gold room with some beautiful accent lighting that filled the room with romantic reds, and elegant gold. Their first dance really took their guests senses to the extreme as we transformed the room with the popular dancing on the clouds effect.

The rest of the night the dance floor was packed with their friends and family and we really turned up the energy with the atmospheric lighting package that gave the room that Hi-Energy feel. I had a great time planning this once in a life time event for the two of them and I am pretty sure that they are off to somewhere worm and sunny for the honeymoon.

I would also like to take my hat off to a very special man, Richard Hutting who designed and crafted the breath taking cake figurines for Leah and Ryan. You see, Ryan is a Fire Fighter who would go to any limits to protect Leah and this was reflected in these one of a kind figurines. leah & Ryan 4

I understand that over thepast year Richard put around 300 hours of time into this project preparing them for their wedding day. I must have spent 20 minutes looking at them trying to figure out how he created them.Every piece was hand painted, carved, and molded to exact dimensions of Leah and Ryan. The leah & Ryan 1

dress was a perfect match, the fireman’s equipment was held on by working straps. The final detail was the ladder that the hero was climbing to rescue his beautiful bride from such great heights atop the wedding cake. During our planning Leah tried to explain it to me and I will be honest with you, she had Leah & Ryan 6a hard time coming up with words that described them. This was the talk of the night amongst the family. Here’s to you Richard for giving Leah and Ryan a gift that will undoubtedly be showcased in their home as a great conversation piece.

It Snowed Inside Arden Hills Tonight…..

October 20, 2007 in Creative Weddings | Comments (0)

No your eyes do not deceive you, I said we made it snow inside Arden Hills on Thursday night. How you might ask? That is a secret to my clients; however I would like to share with you a clip from the wedding. Georgeeanna and Mario had worked very hard on choreographing their first dance and wanted to really wow their guests. I suggested to the two of them that they book the Snow Elegance package to surprise everyone. With their guests eyes contently glued to the dance floor the guests erupted into applause as they realized that their beautiful dance made it snow. They continued without hesitation and it seemed as though they were the only two in the room.

Touchdown For Ashley & Mike…

October 13, 2007 in Creative Weddings | Comments (0)

This week was a first for me working at the Morgan Creek Country Club for the wedding of Ashley and Mike Newell. From start to finish this was a night to remember for all who attended. I worked with Lonna Ponce of Ponce’s Portraits who provided the pictures below. This is just a few of the amazing moments she captured for Ashley and Mike on their wedding day. We started the reception with a custom introduction of the wedding party. I worked closely with Ashley and Mike to tell a brief story about each member, and the bond they sAshley & Mike 2hared with the couple. The guests were laughing, cheering, and on one occasion booing. Apparently when I announced that Jack was a Bronco’s fan there were not a lot of supporters among the guests. However, they did cheer for him when we announced him into the reception.

Jack had the last laugh later that that night when we created a lot of excitement amongst the guys during the garter toss. Moments before the toss I brought out a Football that had been signed by Ashley and Mike with their wedding date on it. We wrapped the garter around the football and tossed it into the group of guys. You guessed it; Jack caught the ball and by chance, his girlfriend ended up with the bouquet. That night we also accented the facility with lighting that added pure elegance to this grand event. It’s amazing what a little lighting will do to a ballroom.Ashley & Mike 3
